In this project, we, as a class, explored through the analysis of base scientific explanations as well as more questionable spiritualistic beliefs concerning what makes us happy as humans. We began this attempt at this comprehension through watching a series of videos and reading articles published by various figures and made sure to take the basic perspectives from each element of analysis in order to properly incorporate a wide range of accumulated data into our final essay and art project. This essay was written to the questions; How does meaning affect happiness?, How can you personally achieve individual happiness?, and How can we change our own society in order to increase citizen happiness?. Aside from our essay which was required to properly cite each point made on the before-listed subjects and also provide a thorough analysis of this evidence, we were required to put together an art project which would address the artist's personal take on what happiness should mean. This art project incorporated a quote on happiness of the artist's choice,as well as a main piece of representative art which detailed the artist's own summarization of the evidence and personal analysis through critical thinking which this project provided.
